New Lincoln Stuff on the Market
Unless you already know, here are a few items worth mentioning:
1). Andrews McMeel has published “The Lincoln-Obama Inaugural Bible Collection”. The set features a replica of the Bible used by Lincoln in the 1861 inauguration and by Obama in 2009. It also includes a booklet and 2009 Inaugural programs. The whole set comes in a blue clamshell box embossed with the Presidential Seal. Available only at Amazon.com.
2). Sculptor Mel Zapata has produced an 14 1/2 inch hydrocal reproduction of John Rogers’ 1868 sculpture “The Council of War”. It is a smaller replica of the “C” version and is in a limited edition of 75. For more information, contact Mr. Zapata at email@example.com.
3). This December, Lionel Trains will have as part of their “Heritage Series” a limited edition Lincoln Funeral Train set. This 1:48 standard O scale set will feature the 4-4-0 “Nashville” locomotive, and the “United States” funeral car. Both will include the mourning decorations. The set is priced at 799.99.
